1939 - SQL Server DBA -

You will be responsible for administering scalable database technologies which support large data sets. Will be maintaining consistent levels of end user performance through designing, managing, and tuning databases, including perf tuning, capacity planning, backups, security and general monitoring.

You'll be working as a part of a team of highly skilled BI developers, software engineers and ETL developers, among others.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline required.
• 5+ years of related experience
• Performance tuning
• Replication
• Permissions
• High scalable, high availability environments
• Desire to learn, open to multiple ways to approach and solve complex problems
• Highly adaptable, intelligent, good communicator

Other info:

• Mixture of SQL Server 2012 (for OLTP) and MySQL (for Warehouse); all infrastructure and application/data artifacts are  deployed into AWS (Amazon’s cloud service) using a combination of Microsoft technologies (TFS, MSBuild, PowerShell, Microsoft Release Manager) and open Source tools (Chef, Rightscale).

• They are considering NoSQL solutions (Hadoop, Redshift) for future needs.
