2026 - .Net Developer Contract - South Minneapolis Metro

Position Responsibilities:

SUMMARY

Ensures the successful fulfillment of mission by providing data processing tools that handle a wide range of customer facing integration needs and allow other team members to provide great customer service as well as converts data from specifications and statements of problems to computer code by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Consults, collaborates and cooperates with managers, other programmers and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment and interfaces with other systems.

Designs or writes program specifications based on consultations with managers, other programmers and end users. Documents all programming.

Converts designs and specifications into computer code.

Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.

Creates or collects test data and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.

Supports a well-controlled development environment by using software version control tools and practices.

Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.

Writes and maintains documentation of changes to computer code, programs, and specifications.

Designs and codes integration services, printed outputs and interfaces with other systems.

Reviews user and technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency/accuracy with program operations.

Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.

Revises program for corrections, enhancements, or system environment changes.

Trains end users or technical support staff to use and support program.

Coordinates with other programmers about program revisions.

Modifies and maintains software programs written by others.

ATTENDANCE/PUNCTUALITY

You are expected to be reliable and punctual in reporting for scheduled work. In the rare instance when you cannot avoid being late or are unable to work as scheduled, you must notify your supervisor within 15 minutes of the start of your schedule of the anticipated tardiness or absence. Poor attendance and excessive tardiness may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Successful candidates for this position will possess the following skills and attributes:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four years of related experience. Proficient at, or willing to become proficient in, many software systems, platforms and languages.
