POSITION SUMMARY:Applications development and support for internal and customer facing systems used to support business and technical aspects of managed data center systems and services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Application development focused on process automation and configuration integration for data center managed services. Some specific systems include:
o Virtualization – managed servers
o Cloud server and storage platforms
o Server and hardware configuration DB
o Customer support ticketing system
o Web interface portal for customers to self-managed systems
o DNS & IP administration
o Email provisioning – Exchange/POP/IMAP/SPAM-VIRUS
o Online ordering & automated provisioning
This opportunity includes the following leadership responsibilities:o Lead major development projects
o Review work of other developers, including formal code reviews
o Mentor and train other developers
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Required Skillso 5 years of LAMP programming experience, with at least 3 years in PHP
o 2+ years experience in database design and programming (MSSQL and/or MySQL)
o Demonstrated experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML/CSS, MVC, and OOP
o Experience integrating third party APIs
o Linux Apache and Windows IIS experience
o SQL query writing
o Strong communication and team collaboration skills
o Detailed oriented with exceptional problem solving abilities
o Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
o 4 year college degree in computer science or demonstrated equivalent industry experience
