Position Summary Development for internal and customer facing web applications used to support managed data center systems and cloud computing services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Application development focused on process automation and configuration integration for data center managed services. Some specific systems include:
• Virtualization – managed servers
• Cloud server and storage platforms
• Web interface portal for customers to self-managed systems
• DNS & IP administration
• Email provisioning - Exchange/POP/IMAP/SPAM-VIRUS
• Online ordering & automated provisioning
• Customer support ticketing system
Required Skills• 2 years of LAMP web programming experience using an OOP development language such as PHP, Python, Ruby, or Groovy. PHP is heavily preferred but if you do not have PHP having Python or Ruby or Groovy will qualify you for the position.
• 1 year experience in database design and programming (SQL Queries)
• Demonstrated experience with JavaScript
• Linux Apache and/or Windows IIS experience
• SQL query writing
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Detailed oriented with exceptional problem solving abilities
• Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
• 2 year college degree in computer science or demonstrated equivalent industry experience
