Responsible for ensuring the quality of data warehouse, data mart and BI activities within project teams through various test and validation methods throughout all stages. Primary focus is within the data warehouse domain. Continuous quality improvement processes, both strategic and tactical in nature, to identify new opportunities for improvement. In conjunction with the SQA Manager, owns the standards, guidelines and procedures around DW test/quality items. From time to time, will train QA Analysts unfamiliar with DW methodologies.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required
• 4+ years total IT experience
• 2+ years data warehouse test/analysis experience as primary responsibility
• Advanced SQL query skills that support typical data warehouse analysis requirements
• Ability to translate complex test cases to test scripts using SQL for data validation
• Ability to profile data to discover anomalies and validate transformation
• Ability to establish and implement methodology and standards to guarantee quality results and high quality test efforts
• An aptitude for attention to detail over and above the norm
• A conscientious personality demonstrated by actions
• A highly analytical mind set that should be apparent in an interview setting
• Good understanding of data models, relational and dimensional database concepts, data types, data integration and ETL methodologies
• Experience or understanding of error detection & correction
• Is either an agile advocate or has a desire to participate in agile development methodology
