Job Detail
This position will work closely with the company’s business operations system project in designing components, developing and testing related components and subsystems, producing documentation and performing code reviews. Other specific responsibilities of the position include:
Responsibilities:• Write and review design documentation that is accurate and efficient
• Work closely with other team members to design and code solutions for new functionality and bug fixes in the company’s quoting system
• Develop supporting systems and components
• Maintain wiki website documentation
• Maintain and generate API documentation (code comments)
• Conduct unit tests and assist with the writing of effective unit tests for developed code
• Test programs using either unit tests or by running code
• Review code developed by other team members, testing adequacy and documentation
• Communicate with system users and helpdesk personnel regarding requirements and testing details
Requirements include:• Proven analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
• Must be able to understand and analyze project specifications
• Four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
• 0 to 2 years of experience with application programming (including Visual Basic, .NET Visual Studio, and SQL)
