Individual filling this position must be highly experienced in software design, with special focus on application integrations, data transformation and custom development. This position is responsible for technical requirements definition, documentation, and implementation of application integrations, and custom applications in C# and Microsoft software development technologies. Contributes to the implementation of the technological roadmap for business systems and helps move forward with development and improvement of applications integrations solutions that enhance business decision making capabilities. This position maintains, improves, and provides second-level support for existing business applications and application integrations.
Responsibilities:• Create technical specifications and design documents.
• Develop new and maintain existing custom solutions in C#, .NET 4 and Silverlight 4.
• Build and expand data and applications integrations architecture using SSIS.
• Develop new and maintain existing reports in SSRS.
• Participate in and guide design and architecture choices for business applications.
• Work with project managers and business analysts in development of requirement and test plans.
• Mentor members of the Business Applications team.
• Train IT operations specialists to provide first-level support for in-house applications.
• Provide clear written and verbal status updates regarding development work progress to IT and project leadership.
• Perform code reviews.
• Create and maintain sophisticated software architectures and designs in line with business requirements and anticipating future needs based on known initiatives.
• Provide input to design and architecture of business applications, application integrations and custom software development efforts and participate in solution design discussions for business projects.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in the existing business applications and applications integrations system landscape.
Education/Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant on-the-job experience in application development and application integration required.
Preferred Experience. PLEASE NOTE you DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE all these:
• 5+ years of SSIS experience and or other application integration experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise C# development experience.
• Data modeling, master data management, data warehousing, and OLAP cubes.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture (web services, WCF).
• WPF or Silverlight development.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008, or 2008 R2 skills (stored procedures, user-defined functions, indexing and performance tuning).
• Visual Studio 2008 or 2010 development and debugging experience.
• Microsoft pattern and practices (Enterprise Library) development experience.
• DTS Experience.
• MS System Center orchestrator Runbooks and or similar toolset experience.
• Data mapping experience.
• ETL or other data transformation experience.
• Data integrations Patterns and Practices experience.
• XML and XSLT experience.
• Experience with mobile technologies (iOS, Android) a plus.
• Experience with Qlikview.
• Oracle database.
• ASP.NET MVP and AJAX development.
• IIS configuration and administration.
• SharePoint development experience.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well in teams as well as independently.
• Must successfully manage multiple priorities; be able to work autonomously and solicit feedback and guidance when necessary, but also take direction and follow through multi-step project steps and procedures consistently.
